About the Author

Timothy Ballard earned his MA in international politics from the Monterey Institute of International Studies. He worked for the Central Intelligence Agency and as a Special Agent for the Department of Homeland Security. He is the founder and CEO of Operation Underground Railroad, which rescues children from child-trafficking organizations throughout the world. The best-selling author of The Lincoln Hypothesis, he recently received the distinguished George Washington Honor Medal from the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge. An absolutely incredible read that dives deep into history as well as the shadowy world that still exists today. I discovered Tim and O.U.R. On the Team Never Quit Podcast and was absolutely stunned at what I heard. Reading this book further opened my eyes to the atrocities that one human can do to another, but more that that the POWER OF POSITIVITY and the POWER OF GOOD can fight all evil in this world. I cannot reccomend this book more!

Tim Ballard is a great writer and one of my favorite heroes.What he has done for this cause in just a short amount of time is a miracle and the sacrifices he and his family have made.There is true evil in this world.,I am an a member of Tim’s OUR (operation Underground Railroad).This is something I BELEIVE IN. This book by Tim Ballard is an absolute must read! It should be a mandatory book for every college student and every other adult human being on this planet. The author thoughtfully takes you on his personal journey into the dark world of human slavery, past and present, and shows you how faith in God coupled with the courage to do the (really) hard things can bring about light, freedom, dignity and hope to those unfortunate individuals who have been the victims (slaves) of the worst kind of evil known as human trafficking. Tim pulls back the covers and exposes a modern day evil business empire that needs to be eradicated from the world. I can think of no better investment, no better charity, and no better cause to donate to or support, than operation underground railroad. I promise you that reading this book will change your life!

This is a must read book, although the topic is hard to hear about, these stories NEED to be, not only told, but heard and felt. Slavery, both adult and child, is very alive and it is thriving today. The only way to stop it is to not only know about but to talk about it as well. This book exposes the ugly things people do in the dark to the light, and those people who dwell in the dark hate the light because it shows them for what they really are...

I am thankful for the vision of Tim Ballard. I want to thank you for all the effort you and your organization. Have done to help free people. Everyone should read your book and start helping to end human trafficking. This is an issue that everyone should agree that it needs to stop. We need to find issues like human trafficking that everyone agrees should end to help bring healing to a highly partisan and deeply divided nation.

I bought and read this book in one day after listening to the Glenn Beck podcast with Tim Ballard. The book is excellent... giving me hope for the future and a path forward. It also broke my heart in many ways. It is difficult to look into the dark corners of evil that occupy some, but Tim helps to make the journey palatable.

A must read for everyone! It helped me wake up to the realities of human slavery today and made me appreciate the heros in history and today that rescue people from human trafficking. It’s real, please read this. It’s written in a way that explains it simply and clearly and didn’t leave me depressed but instead gave me hope and motivation to reach out and help in any way I can. It gave me gratitude for Tim Ballard and his team of heroes!

This is a great book! It was written so well that it is enjoyable to read, even though the topic is harsh. Tim Ballard is an impressive man, trying to right some wrongs in the world. Thanks for sharing your story!
