About the Author
As a teenager, Fr. Josh Johnson became aware of a deep ache in his heart for something more, and he sought to fill this ache with the ways of the world. After years of struggle, he came to know Jesus Christ as the healer of his restlessness. A priest of the Diocese of Baton Rouge, Fr. Josh attended Southern University and graduated from St. Joseph s Seminary College and Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans. The greatest accomplishment for me after reading this book was to change my tendency to react to the brokenness of my adult children to one of response. I learned to receive their criticism more patiently and to give my anger to God and wait for Him to fix it or give me opportunities to improve the situation with love instead of anger.
Loved this book. Such good testimony and I love the prayers and questions and reflections at the end of each chapter. Love the book so much I have to order another one. Because I want to share with my friends but I want to keep the book handy to reread. Got so much guidance and direction from him. Very inspiring. Very affirming.
Fr. Johnson has a gift. He does a greatjob of sharing his conversion and at the same time evanglizing and dealing with some common misconceptions of God and his relationship with us. Still reading, though really looking forward to reading the rest.
This book is exactly what Catholic's today need. Most do not know their faith and get pulled in so many directions. Fr. Josh has made it so simple! He is amazing at explaining the faith in simple terms that no matter what age you are, you will be able to understand it. I've bought two copies so far and plan to get more for my family members as Christmas gifts!!! THIS BOOK IS A MUST READ!
I purchased 5 to give to my five millennial adult daughters, perhaps it will refresh their faith! Great insights!
Great priest that has a podcast. That’s how I heard about him first and then when I heard about his book I had to have it. He he speaks to the common person and makes you understand complex subjects. I absolutely love him!
